Looking for something to do when the weather becomes chilly? Check out one of the eight museum passes the library has to offer its patrons. The Friends support the New England Aquarium, Peabody Essex Museum, Children's Museum of Portsmouth, Strawbery Banke, Science Seacoast Center, The Sports Museum and The Butterfly Place. Some of these are seasonal passes, check to see what passes are available here.

Help support one of our greatest resources - the library! The Friends group offers service, programs and monetary donations to the library to enhance their offerings to their patrons and the Plaistow community. If you are interested in learning more about what the Friends group does, join us for our next meeting or call Brenda Hogan at 382-0538.
This sale is located in the Periodical Room of the library. Fiction is located against the back wall and non-fiction books are near the photo-copier. Gently used materials are available at bargain prices; hard covers are one dollar, paperbacks are 50 cents, all children's books are 25 cents. All proceeds help support library activities and special programs for adults and children as well as purchase museum passes for public use.
Materials to be donated can be dropped off anytime that the library is open. Please leave them in the periodical room unless otherwise directed by a librarian. We gratefully accept gently used, clean smelling books and audio books with few exceptions.
The only items that are not accepted are:
Reader's Digest Condensed books, Harlequin or Silhouette series, magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias and videos.
Please call Kathy Wright at 382-8655 for donations over three boxes or if you have any questions regarding the sale. You do not need an appointment, but we do need to know when a large donation is to be dropped off so that a volunteer will be available. Thanks to generous and enthusiastic support the on-going book sale has been an immense success and is still growing!
